the weakest linkOk we all have been banging our heads against the wall trying to figure out which link building campaign is more important and should be the focus for your inernet marketing.First you have to understand what link building is and how it impacts a websites visability on the net and search engines.

I`ll sum it up by calling them votes for your site. Your link is placed on other websites with good Page Rank and search engines look at this as a vote for the importants of your website. The more links comming in the better as long as they are targeted to your sites theme.

Now what link building campaign should you do, one way or reciprocal?

With all the changes in algorythms with such search engines like Google one way linking is surely becoming more valuable than reciprocal, testing has proven this.

Now should you ignore reciprocal? NO!

Using reciprocal link building campaigns on sites that have good amounts of traffic, good PR and a good targeted complimentary item may make a good partnership for yourself and other webmasters expanding your traffic to potential customers.

So the answer to the question is use both link building options but use them in specific ways like the ones listed above.

No Follow Tags Becoming All The Norm But Is It Really A Problem For Internet Marketing?

Here is a subject that I wanted to vent on; it is the ever-growing appearances of no follow tags showing up on once great high Page Rank sites.

Just in case you may be unaware of what no follow is and what it does I will elaborate a bit.

In Internet Marketing the process of building incoming links is an important one and not only building links from site but also building quality links from sites with high page rank.

These sites are thought of to be authority sites in some cases and to be able to acquire a link from these sites is more valuable than a hundred low page rank sites.

Websites like youtube, digg just for example are considered to be good sources for quality incoming links to your site. And when search engines like Yahoo and Google crawl these sites they come across links into your site and record this information and may help you rank well in search query results.

O so they used to…

The problem now for most Internet Marketing SEO professionals is that we are starting to notice that more of these sites are now implementing no follow tags.

This is a tag that tells the search engines not to follow the links. So if the tag tells search engines not to follow the links they never really know your link into your site is even there.

The reason more websites are using no follow tags is not to hurt Internet Marketing efforts but more to fight against spammers to abuse the link process for there own gain.

But the question is that besides the link aspect does this really hurt your websites ability to gain traffic?

I say NO.

Here is were solid strong content comes into play. These sites receive allot of traffic and by providing strong powerful content either through articles or video you will still have the ability to capture this valued traffic.

The idea is to use these platforms as a tool to provide good information that visitors are looking for and not to Spam the crap out of them just for link love.

This is another example of how looking outside the search engines for traffic is becoming more important because once easy search engine tactics are now becoming harder and harder to crack.

Think of it like this, good valued content with no search engine link quality will get more traffic than junk, spammy content with incoming link.

logoInternet Marketing with your blog is a powerful way to generate traffic to your site almost instantly with RSS, Blog and Ping. In the process of Blog and Pinging having your blog posts show up in Technorati not only will generate good traffic but will give your blog the recognition it needs to grow on the Internet and brand your business.

The idea is to blog all of your post so sites like Technorati which is the Google of Blog Search Engines can properly index your site in there results.

Here is were your keyword research comes into play by using tags that searchers are using to find topics that are interested in.

But there is a downside to getting your blog posts listed on Technorati is that popular keyword tags or popular blog posts could bury your post within minutes of your posts showing on first page.

The idea is to use more targeted long tail keyword tag phrases that have less competition in addition to using the more demand keyword phrases.

Technorati allows approx 15 tags that relate to your blog post and you want to optimize this by using a good combination of phrases to get the most out of each post.

A great way although time consuming is to perform a manual keyword tag research through Technorati by entering your keyword phrases you gathered from your keyword research into the search query under the drop down (in tag). Then click search.

You want to take a look at the results and open them up by clicking the more blog post link at bottom of result.

Take a look at the listing Technorati provides and study the days posted information that shows for each blog post.

The trick is to research for keyword tag phrases that tend to have the long number of days since posted. It may be better to use a keyword phrase tag that shows last day posted as 15days vs. a post that shows last post of 10min.

This process will assist is keeping your blog posts visible on front page longer and in return produce more targeted traffic.

The upside to this process being time consuming is that your competiton will tend to ignore this hidden gem.
